Mostar

Mostar grew around a crossing of the Neretva and became a distinctive Ottoman town of bridges, mosques, markets and neighbourhoods. The Old Bridge, completed in the sixteenth century, was destroyed in 1993 and reconstructed in 2004. This route puts the bridge back inside the city that created, lost and rebuilt it rather than treating one arch as the whole of Mostar.
