The square around the parish church preserves the scale of old BOO-dah-ursh beneath the modern town. Market activity, processions and everyday encounters concentrated here when the settlement still functioned primarily as an agricultural and wine-growing village.
Turn slowly through the full space. Street width, corner treatment, building height and sightlines often reveal the planning logic more clearly than any plaque.
A useful way to read the space is to imagine it at three times of day—market morning, working afternoon and ceremonial evening. Different functions become visible in each.
This stop also helps distinguish the town from Budapest: the same historical forces operated here, but they produced a different scale and pattern of urban life.
