Budapest

Budapest District XIX — Kispest

Kispest grew as an independent industrial and commuter town, and its most famous urban experiment—Wekerletelep—was one of Central Europe’s largest planned workers’ housing projects. This route connects Kós Károly Square, garden-city streets, worker culture, municipal institutions, industry, rail and Honvéd football to show how social policy and local identity created a district that still feels distinct from inner Budapest.
