The columned entrance and ceremonial stair transformed routine municipal administration into a public architectural experience. A market town was announcing that local government deserved metropolitan dignity.
Step back far enough to see the building in relation to its neighbors, then move closer and look for additions, blocked openings and material changes that reveal later use.
Architecture becomes historical evidence when scale and access are considered together: who was meant to feel welcome, impressed, controlled or excluded here?
Placed among the surrounding stops, this site prevents the story from collapsing into a single famous monument and gives the town another social layer.
Earlier, TSEG-layd Town Hall: A Market Town Becomes Urban emphasized civic; after this, KOH-shoot tér: Catholic, Judicial and Municipal TSEG-layd moves toward urban. That change of lens is deliberate.
The physical site is only the evidence. The larger story is the network of people and resources that made this place necessary.
