Hősök Square gathers the parish church and later public memorials at the center of EH-tyek. The square makes visible how a village organized religious and civic identity before tourism and film production transformed its economy.
Turn slowly through the full space. Street width, corner treatment, building height and sightlines often reveal the planning logic more clearly than any plaque.
This is best understood as a piece of town structure rather than a single attraction. Edges, sightlines and routes explain how people were expected to move through the space.
Placed among the surrounding stops, this site prevents the story from collapsing into a single famous monument and gives the town another social layer.
Earlier, Church-Garden Mary Statue: Devotion before the Great Wine Brand emphasized memory; after this, World War Memorial: Swabian Families Enter Mass Warfare moves toward memory. That change of lens is deliberate.
The stop also prevents the town’s history from being reduced to its single most famous monument. Different institutions produced different kinds of local identity.
