The large Catholic parish church dominates Szentháromság Square and served a community whose religious institutions were closely tied to YAAS civic life. Redemptio commemorations continue to begin here with ceremonial worship.
Notice how the sacred building meets the street: forecourt, tower, cemetery, parish rooms and neighboring houses reveal how worship was embedded in community life.
Religious continuity should not be confused with social continuity. Congregations can change language, size and political position while the same church remains a landmark.
Seen on foot, the distance from the previous historic layer matters. Small towns often place elite, working and sacred spaces within only a few minutes of one another.
