The Catholic church belongs to a town whose religious map included Orthodox Serbs, Reformed Hungarians and other communities. Its presence helps prevent the Serbian story from becoming the only lens on RAAT-skeh-veh.
Notice how the sacred building meets the street: forecourt, tower, cemetery, parish rooms and neighboring houses reveal how worship was embedded in community life.
Religious continuity should not be confused with social continuity. Congregations can change language, size and political position while the same church remains a landmark.
