The Calvary route belongs to the Catholic landscape of the resettled town and has undergone later restoration. Its stations transform walking and slope into a narrative of devotion.
Notice how the sacred building meets the street: forecourt, tower, cemetery, parish rooms and neighboring houses reveal how worship was embedded in community life.
The position of the building matters as much as doctrine. Churches, chapels and monasteries helped organize routes, squares and neighborhood identity around repeated communal use.
Seen on foot, the distance from the previous historic layer matters. Small towns often place elite, working and sacred spaces within only a few minutes of one another.
